Project Profile
Witchery new store Sydney, September 2006.
Our client for this project requested eight ( 3) metre tall Magnolia Little Gems, with the trees to be of conical shape.
In any sunny position with well drained soil ,Magnolia ‘Little Gem’ will grow well in most parts of Australia. As specimens in lawns, parks or garden beds
Magnolia ‘Little Gem’ will perform well. Frosts to -5 degrees Celsius will be tolerated once established. Give some shelter in the first few years.
In large decorative patio pots many years of use for foliage and flower can be achieved.
As you can see by the picture, these beautiful trees compliment this garden area.
Palm Project, Melbourne September 2006.
Our client for this project requested two (4) metre trunk size palms. After lengthy discussions, it was decided to be Canary Island Date Palms.
The Canary Island Date Palms- Phoenix canariensis each weighing 8t., with a trunk size of 4m.
The palms blended in with the strong architectual lines of the building, overall the installed palms have added considerable value to the property.
Accesss was not a problem for Arbornet, utlising the latest in crane technology making the installation light work.
Victorian State Library, Melbourne.
This project demanded well established trees to fit into the commanding facade of the State Library. Two species of trees were chosen; Angophora costata and Celtis australis. The Angophora costata (see photo)were supplied in 500L containers at 4.0-4.5m tall with a 70-80mm calliper. These trees were grown to NATSPEC specification.
The Celtis australis were supplied in 600mm RCBs at a height of 3.5-4.0m tall with an 80mm calliper. Both species of trees have established well and have now grown to good specimens, which complement the landscape of The State Library.
The Angophora costata are now more than 7.0m tall, with a minimum of 150mm with excellent crown development and they have all retained their lower branches.
